Protesters Attack Zimbabwean Minister, Aides At Chatham House In UK (SEE VIDEO)


LAGOS JULY 12TH (NEWSANGERS)-Zimbabwe’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Sibusiso Busi Moyo was, on Friday, attacked by protesters at Chatham House in the UK.
The country’s Information Permanent Secretary, Ndabaningi Nick Mangwana and his aides were also attacked.
A video shared on Twitter by Hopewell Chin’ono, @daddyhope, revealed one of the protesters, pouring water on the minister, as he walked towards his car.
Some of the protesters, who were draped in the Zimbabwean flag surged towards the minister, as he came out but his aides protected him until he got into his car.


The protesters, however, turned on a man and asked him, “What are you looking at?” Some of the female protesters pushed and shoved him on the street.
Chatham House on its events Twitter handle, @CH_Events, acknowledged that Minister Moyo was at the establishment to “discuss Zimbabwe’s prospects for international engagement two years after leadership change.”
They added, “The country is also strengthening its ties in Asia, especially with China and Japan. Zimbabwe’s partnerships are demonstrating a growing global awareness of Africa’s economic potential and attracting inward FDI.”
Zimbabwe has been facing tough economic challenges in recent times.
