Police Warns Against Use Of Revolving Light, Unregistered Vehicle, Covered Number Plates
LAGOS JANUARY 3RD (NEWSRANGERS)-Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) has said in a tweet that using sirens, rotating lights, unregistered automobiles, and covered license plates are all Illegal behaviors.
According to him, these offences are punishable by the law. The PPRO said that nowadays, siren is used by many unqualified people. He added that many people harass and abuse innocent drivers on the road while hiding their license plates or not even having registered ones.
“We are ready to descend on the violators and cause them to face the full wrath of the law. Our commands and formations have been directed to go after the violators and prosecute them accordingly,” Says Prince Adejobi.
The police spokesman said that there is need to control the indiscriminate use of sirens and rotating lights and sanitize the system using every available tool.
“It’s not for Tom, Dick and Harry. We deserve the best”, he said in conclusion.
