LAGOS APRIL 11TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The Ogun state police command early this week, brought joy to three parents whose children were among the eight children stolen from various parts of the state by rescuing their children and arresting three suspects.
A statement by the command spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi (DSP), said that a syndicate that specialized in stealing children in Ogun state stole the children.

According to the spokesman, the kidnappers modus operandi is posing as couples looking for houses to rent, especially in areas where the children of their choices are and later carry out their evil machination of stealing in the area, were trailed by the command Anti – Cultists and Kidnapping Unit, to Anambra state where the three children were rescued.
He attributed the success of the operation to the command synergy with neighbouring Ondo State and the strategy mapped out by the new Commissioner of Police, CP, Mr Bashir Makama.
The three suspects consisting of two females and a male are, Kate Njoku, Joy Okorie and Onyeka Joseph.
Oyeyemi said one of the kids rescued by the police, Temidayo Ajayi, was last year stolen by the syndicate along with his brother .
“Efforts are on top gear to rescue Temidayo’s brother and other children stolen from the state as similarly, the police are in hot chase of the accomplices of the three persons in police net,” said the command Image maker.
Meanwhile , CP Makama has enjoined parents in the state to be security conscious of their children by not leaving them to the total care of strangers.
The police chief also commended the Anti – Kidnapping Unit of the command who made the breakthrough.
He urged them to thoroughly investigate swiftly all known child theft and kidnapping cases in the state.
