Lagos ‘Agberos’ Partner NDLEA In War Against Drug Abuse, Illicit Trafficking
LAGOS MARCH 3RD (NEWSRANGERS)-The National Union of Road Transport Worker, Lagos Chapter has promise to partner with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) and illicit traficking. This was done when the NDLEA Lagos State Commander, Barr. Callys Alumona and some of his management team paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman N. U. R. T. W. Lagos Chapter Alh. Musiliu Ayide Akinsanya in his office.
While briefing the Chairman and his Executive members, the State Commander told them that the Union and it’s Executive are critical in the war because they are social contractors in term of transport of human being, goods and srevices across the Country.
The State Commander continued by enjoying them to always be mindful of what they carry in their vehicles because those merchants of death mostly uses vehicles to carry those illicit goods across the country and even beyond. That the Union has been coopetative and will like the cooperation and the relationship to continue in this regard.
In his response, the Chairman, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) said he will continue sensitizing his people in the Union about the danger of carrying such illicit goods and services, adding that they know that some of their members do such in other to make quick money but that when the law catch up with such a person the end result is not good as such person goes to jail and his vehicle will be forfeited to the Government.
At the end of the visit, the State Commander decorated the Chaiman with the lapel of War Against Drug Abuse and this signifies that the Chairman has become one of the Ambassadors of the crusade.
Also the State Commander talk to the larger group of the State executive members at their conference hall.
