Kanu Reacts To Iwobi’s 35m Pounds Move From Arsenal To Everton
LAGOS AUGUST 9TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Former Super Eagles star Nwankwo Kanu has reacted to Alex Iwobi’s moe from Arsenal to Everton. The Toffees signed the Nigerian international on deadline day after they agreed a reported fee 35m pounds with Arsenal.
The 23-year-old signed a five year deal with the club and was their seventh signing of what was a busy transfer window for the Toffees.
Following the announcement of the deal, fans, ex-players and pundits took to social media to express their feeling on Iwobi’s latest move.
Among them is former Arsenal star, Kanu Nwankwo who expressed his delight at Iwobi’s next step, saying he will always continue to support him.
Kanu who made over a 100 appearances for Arsenal scoring 37 goals took to his twitter page to congratulate Iwobi on his next move.

He wrote on Twitter saying: “Once a Gunner, Always a Gunner. We are proud of you @alexanderiwobi and will continue to support you. Good luck with your new club.
Meanwhile, Everton manager, Marco Silva also expressed his delight with his club’s capture of the Super Eagles star, saying he has was one of their main targets during the transfer window.
Speaking to Everton’s website, the former Watford manager revealed the club went for Iwobi because he fits their style.
“Alex was one of our main targets for this window and I believe he is a fantastic signing for Everton. He is a direct and skilful winger and attacking midfielder who always works very hard for his team.
“He is still young but already with a lot of top-level experience – 100 Premier League matches, more in Europe and many international games.
“It was important for me to have one more quality option for our attacking positions to add to what we have with Richarlison, Bernard and Theo Walcott.
“Alex fits exactly the profile of player I want in my model. He is hungry to join Everton and take the next step in his career, to help us compete with the strongest teams in the league and reach his potential at our club.”
