How Missing Kids Of Visually Impaired Woman Were Found In Orphanage Home
LAGOS SEPTEMBER 14TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Two children, Excel Forte (2) and Joy (13), reported missing on November 28, 2023, have been found at an orphanage home in the Bariga area of Lagos State.
According to Punch Newspaper, the children’s mother, Agnes, a visually impaired woman, had raised the alarm over their disappearance from their residence in the Akowonjo area.
According to Agnes, she was in the room when Joy and Excel were playing along the corridor, but she could no longer hear their voices after a while.
Despite efforts to locate them, their whereabouts remained unknown until Agnes’ mother-in-law received a call from the orphanage home indicating the children’s presence.
The father, John, revealed that the children were found wandering around Ago Palace Way by a police officer, who took them to a welfare center and subsequently to the orphanage home.
Joy initially concealed details about herself but later disclosed their background, leading to their reunion with their family.
John stated that it took him weeks to perfect documents, including a court order, to secure the children’s release from the orphanage.
When asked if Joy disclosed reasons for her actions, John said she had yet to reveal any motive.
This case highlights the importance of vigilance and community support in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals, particularly children.
