#EndBadGovernance Protesters Defy Rain To March In Rivers Against Hunger

LAGOS  AUGUST 1ST (NEWSRANGERS)-Protesters in Rivers State, on Thursday, defied morning rain to participate in the ongoing nationwide street protests against hardship and bad governance in Nigeria.

The protesters, numbering over 2,000, had gathered opposite the Port Harcourt Pleasure Park along Aba Road in Port Harcourt, as early as 8:00am.

They are currently marching through Aba Road, towards Government House, Port Harcourt, amidst tight security being provided by operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Department of State Service (DSS).

Our Correspondent observed that there were over four Police patrol vans and an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) stationed in front of the Government House and manned by combat-ready Policemen.
