Court To Rule On Case Between Courses 18,19, 20 And IGP, PSC, Force Sec
LAGOS FEBRUARY 22ND (NEWSRANGERS)-The National Industrial Court of Nigeria, NICN, has slated ruling on the suit filed by Courses 18, 19, 20 against their forceful removal from office by Police Service Commission, Inspector General of Police and the Force Secretary.
The legal battle in the law suit between Courses 18,19,20 and the Police Service Commission, psc, Inspector General of Police and Force Secretary, Thursday began at the National Industrial Court, Garki, Abuja, over their forceful removal from office without attaining the mandatory years required before retirement and non implementation of court judgement.
The aggrieved officers in suit No: NICN/ABJ/28/2025,had approached the court to quash the injustice done against them.
The authorities had peddled falsehood that over 200 policemen falsified their age, police records and have resigned.
The Suit with No: NICN/ABJ/28/2025 filed by Edwin Okoro Esq, has ACP Chinedu Ambrose Emengaha & seven others as Claimants, with the Police Service Commission, Inspector General of Police and Force Secretary, Nigeria Police as 1st, 2nd and 3rd Defendants.
The matter was fixed for hearing of motion for interlocutory order restraining the Psc, IGP and Forcesec on Thursday
When the matter was called before Hon Justice R.B Haastrup, it was found out that the police did not file any counter affidavit, Psc filed counter affidavit without motion for leave which was discountenanced.
The motion for interlocutory order was moved unopposed and the Court adjourned to 11th March, 2025 for ruling.
