Baba-Ahmed: Before Now We Were Challenging Candidate But Now We Are Challenging A Sitting President

LAGOS MAY 30TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The presidential Election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja today continued the hearing of the constitution brought by Mr Peter Obi and the Labour Party challenging the declaration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of February 25th election.
It would be recalled that just yesterday, the former Lagos state governor took the oath of office as he was sworn in as the 16th president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, for the first since the tribunal began sitting on the case, Vice presidential candidate to Mr Peter Obi, Datti Baba-Ahmed was in court today to witness the proceedings.
Speaking to an Obidient shortly after the case was moved to tomorrow for continuation, Datti said now they are no longer challenging a candidate but a sitting president.
“I am in a high spirit. Before now we were challenging candidate but now we are challenging a sitting president. For Nigeria the change will be stronger” he said.
