Armed Robbers Caused Havoc In Igando Lagos, Killed 3, Injured 3 During Operation

 

LAGOS JULY 31ST (NEWSRANGERS)-Daredevil armed robbers went on rampage in Igando area of Lagos, killing three victims on the spot and injuring three others, who are now lying critically ill at an undisclosed hospital after they robbed passersby of their valuables before escaping with their vehicle.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on Friday, 25th of July, 2025, at Lanre Bus Stop, LASU-Igando Road between 8pm and 9pm.

The robbers were said to have invaded the area for operation, which lasted for several minutes before they escaped with their vehicle.

Among the victims shot dead included an NYSC discharged graduate, Reuben Peter Njoku, who went to buy chicken at the bus stop when group of armed men invaded the area.

According to a witness, the bandits parked their vehicle and started  shooting sporadically while robbing passersby and eventually killed the late Njoku and two others on the spot.

Three other victims sustained various degrees of injury before the robbers escaped unchallenged because there was no presence of any security operatives in the area.

After the robbers had escaped, the six victims hit by their bullets were rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where doctors confirmed three of the victims dead while three others are lying critically ill at the hospital.

When our correspondent visited the Police at Igando Division to speak with the DPO, some of the officers at the station said that the DPO has gone to the State Headquarters at Ikeja over the matter to brief the Commissioner of Police.

As at the time of filing this report, no arrest has been made while the Police at Igando Division said that they have since commenced investigation to apprehend the robbers.
