Ex-PDP Chieftain Exposes How Peter Obi Worked For Success Of Jonathan’s Adm.
LAGOS OCTOBER 15TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Matthew Barango, a former PDP chieftain and a prominent politician in the South-South, has explained his reasons for supporting the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi. Speaking on AIT News, outlined some of Obi’s contributions to the administration of his own “godfather”, Goodluck.
Barango said, “People seem to have forgotten history, but Peter Obi was a governor in APGA during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan. However, the Anambra chapter of APGA has a history of working with the PDP. Peter Obi worked for the success of Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
He continued, “Peter Obi was on the economic team while serving as the governor of Anambra state. After his administration as governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi further served as the SA on the economy to Goodluck Jonathan. Goodluck made Peter Obi the chairman of the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) towards the end of his tenure. You may recall that Peter Obi was involved in the economic sector when Nigeria was ranked as one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
