LAGOS OCTOBER 27TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh said he has instructed his lawyers to review the issue of the subpoena ordered to be served on former president, Goodluck Jonathan to testify in his trial.
In a statement, he personally signed yesterday; Metuh said the decision was due to the controversies arising from reports of the pronouncements of an Abuja Federal High Court on the trial.
Metuh also denied claims by the Save Ijaw Nation Group that he negotiated with the Federal Government to drag down the former president in order to be let “off the hook.”
Metuh is facing a seven counts charge alongside his company, Destra Investment Ltd, for allegedly receiving the sum of N400m from former NSA, Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd).
Metuh’s counsel, Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN) had applied to summon Dasuki and Jonathan to appear and testify in the trial on the grounds that both are important witnesses in the trial.
