LAGOS OCTOBER 30TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Barely three weeks to Anambra State governorship election, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has been ordered to stop presenting himself as the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the coming governorship election.
The governorship election in the state is scheduled to hold on November 18, 2017.
The order was given by the Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja.
It would be recalled that APGA is divided in the state with Victor Oye leading one faction while Martin Agbaso is leading another.
Governor Obiano belongs to the Oye faction and is recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Agbaso led faction has another candidate.
But in its ruling, the court said the governor should stop parading himself as the candidate of APGA.
The presiding judge delivered a ruling to serve Governor Obiano through substituted means on a prayer asking him to stop parading himself as the governorship candidate of APGA in the coming governorship election in the Anambra State.
