LAGOS JULY 24TH (NEWSRANGRS)-Protests have rocked India, Canada and United Kingdom over the unlawful detention of Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
In Kashmir, India, children and youths embarked on street demonstration, calling for the release of the Shiite leader.

“A protest rally was held today morning (Sunday) in Indian-Controlled Kashmir in solidarity with Sheikh #El-Zakzaky,” the Islamic Human Rights Commission tweeted.
A video of the demonstration showed the group holding posters and cardboards with the picture of El-Zakzaky.
Also, a crowd of Canadian residents and citizens on Friday also protested against the detention.
According to the IHRC, the demonstrators gathered in front of the Saudi Arabian embassy and condemned the Saudi government “for paying top dollars to Nigerian government, military and the governor of Kaduna State for eradicating Zakzaky and his movement in Nigeria.”
It added on its website, “The procession proceeded to the Nigerian high commission as many onlookers witnessed the many peaceful men, women and children, as they marched through the streets of Downtown Ottawa, Canada.
“The speakers repeatedly expressed grave concern about the well-being of Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky after reports emerged about his worsened health conditions.
“The protesters urged Nigerian President Buhari and Army to focus resources on fighting the Boko Haram terrorists rather than turning their guns on unarmed peaceful citizens they are obliged to protect.”
There were also “guerilla projections” on Big Ben in London calling for the release of El-Zakzaky.
