NPA Boss, Bala Usman To Deliver News Express 6th Anniversary Lecture

LAGOS NOVEMBER 5TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Ms. Hadiza Bala Usman, will on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, deliver the News Express 6th Anniversary Lecture, which has as theme, Transparency – Bedrock of Sustainable Development, the organisers said on Sunday.
The event will hold at the main hall of Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Ikeja, Lagos, according to a statement signed by News Express Publisher, Mr. Isaac Umunna.
“The News Express Anniversary Lecture and Economic Stakeholders’ Forum is an annual programme that has an established trend of bringing together important business and political leaders from across the country, as well as multifarious professionals and influential media stakeholders. This year’s event will parade high profile individuals and opinion leaders that shape the economy and politics of Nigeria,” Umunna said.
He said that Ms. Bala Usman was chosen to deliver the lecture in recognition of her well known aversion for corruption and the efforts being made by the NPA Administration under her watch to ensure transparency and global best practices in its operations.
“A woman of unimpeachable integrity, Ms. Hadiza Bala Usman boasts an enviable pedigree both as an activist and an administrator. We are proud to have her agree to deliver the News Express 6th Anniversary Lecture,” Umunna said.
He said that the event chairman and other principal speakers, as well as details of the programme, would be unveiled in the days ahead.
