LAGOS JULY 31ST (NEWSRANGERS)-An entire youth football team from Ethiopia has vanished in Sweden after the culmination of the Gothia Cup youth tournament in Gothenburg, sparking an international response.
According to Sweden Herald, around 20 people, mostly players aged 14-17 and also some adult supervisors, left their hotel without checking out and cannot be located.
The tournament ended ten days ago, but authorities say the group still remains unaccounted for and has not returned to Ethiopia.
Officers are working with the Swedish Migration Agency, border police, and authorities in other countries to locate them.
