LAGOS JULY 19TH (NEWSRANGERS)-We have just left St. Raphael Hospital, Umueri, of the Anglican Diocese of Niger West, where Mr. Peter Obi, true to his long-standing tradition, commenced the thanksgiving for his 65th birthday by celebrating humanity through an act of compassion and service. Not even the rains could stop him.
During the visit, he presented a cheque of ₦10 million to the hospital in support of its healthcare mission and continued service to humanity.
As he proceeds to Lagos, Prof. Okunna and I will join members of his EXCO at the Thanksgiving Mass at Madonna Catholic Church, Agulu.
In keeping with the wishes of the celebrant, the EXCO will thereafter visit a sickle cell home to extend love, care, and support to the residents, reaffirming his enduring commitment to the welfare of the vulnerable.
