Nollywood Movie Practitioner Rotimi Raji Slumps, Dies In Bathroom
LAGOS FEBRUARY 17TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The Nigerian movie industry has once again been plunged into grief as renowned director Rotimi Raji, fondly known as Genius, has been confirmed dead.
According to reports making waves online, Raji was found lifeless in his bathroom, barely a day after Valentine’s Day. He had reportedly slumped.
Living alone in Baruwa, Ipaja, Lagos, Rotimi Raji’s tragic fate came to light when a concerned neighbor, alarmed by his unusual silence, repeatedly called out to him. When there was no response, the neighbor peered through an open window, only to be met with the haunting sight of the filmmaker’s motionless body sprawled on the floor.
Authorities and family members were swiftly contacted, his door was forced open, and his remains were taken to the mortuary. His grieving relatives are now pushing for a post-mortem examination to unravel the mystery behind his sudden passing.
The devastating news has shaken Nollywood, with industry colleagues struggling to process the loss.
Director Tunde Dickson confirmed the tragedy, while actors like Adeniyi Johnson, Kiitan Bukola, and Regina Chukwu have taken to social media, expressing shock and heartbreak over his untimely exit.
This comes just days after Nollywood was thrown into mourning over the heartbreaking loss of one of its finest talents, as veteran actor Columbus Irosanga tragically passed away.
Amid swirling rumours and disbelief surrounding his demise, esteemed actress Hilda Dokubo took to her Instagram page to confirm the devastating news.
In a deeply emotional tribute, she poured out her grief, leaving no doubt about the irreplaceable void his departure has left in the industry.
