Osimhen Promises To Deliver Galatasaray Europa League Crown After Scoring Equaliser
LAGOS NOVEMBER 29TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Victor Osimhen has promised to deliver the UEFA Europa League to Galatasaray after he was credited with the Turkish champions’ equaliser at AZ Alkmaar.
Various platforms had initially listed the goal as an own goal.
“I said I would score a goal (AZ Alkmaar), and I did,” Osimhen said after the match in Holland.
“I promise you one more thing: I will bring the UEFA Cup to Turkey.”
Galatasaray are now fourth in the Europa League overall stadings with 11 points from five matches, two points behind leaders Lazio, Atletic Bilbao and Entracht Frankfurt.
This comes as Europa League organisers UEFA credited Osimhen with a goal after his 43rd minute header was helped into the net by the AZ defender.
He also scored again late in the game only for the effort to be ruled out.
He has now scored three goals in the Europa League after his brace against Tottenham in the previous matchday.
