Hunger: AREWA Youths Urge Tinubu To Act Now To Avoid Uncontrolled Protests
LAGOS JULY 18TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Yerima Shettima, the head of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), said, “The economic situation is bad, with Nigerians struggling to live as prices keep rising. Many people have lost their jobs, businesses are closing, and Nigerians have less money to spend.”
As reported by the Daily Post, Comrade Danjuma Paul, the head of the National Consultative Forum (NSCF), added, “The lack of basic things like electricity, clean water, and healthcare is making life harder for the people, adding to their unhappiness. Many feel left out and ignored, leading to a feeling of betrayal towards the government.”
Shettima told the government, “You must listen to what the people need and care about and work with honesty, kindness, and a clear plan to fix the country’s problems. It’s time to act now; if you don’t, it could lead to uncontrolled protests.” Danjuma said, “We ask you to make the welfare and safety of all Nigerians a priority and work to create conditions that allow the economy and country to grow.”
