LAGOS SEPTEMBER 14TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Former Chelsea captain, John Terry, who is being linked as a manager to Saudi club Al-Shabab, seems to be extending an invitation to his former teammate, Mikel Obi.

Terry is said to have agreed to become the manager of the club, with further reports claiming that he has already met with the club’s supporters in France.

The 42-year-old will now wait for the club’s board to make the final decision after former club president Halid Al-Baltan was deposed.

Terry is currently an academy consultant at Chelsea, but the Stamford Bridge outfit will release him should Al-Shabab push through with their offer, Evening Standard reports.

He recently reunited with his former teammate and friend Mikel, as Chelsea Legends thrashed Bayern Munich Legends 4-0.

Terry, Michael Essien, Gary Cahil,l and Tiago were all on the scoresheet for the London club in the well-attended exhibition game.

The clash was in tribute to the late Gianluca Vialli, with the Blues side posing with a photo alongside his iconic number nine shirt before kick-off.

Mikel was also impressive during the encounter, and Terry took to social media to commend the Nigerian, saying the 36-year-old is still active.

Terry seemed to be telling the former Super Eagles captain to be prepared for a potential move to Saudi Arabia when he wrote:

“You can still play old boy. Get ready.”

Mikel replied:

“Always with you old boy.”
