2023: G5 PDP Govs Not Supporting Tinubu’s Presidency-Jonah Jang
LAGOS FEBRUARY 14TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Senator Jonah Jang has stated that the G-5 PDP Governors and their allies are not supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
According to Jang’s media consultant, Clinton Garuba, they have consistently said they do not have any issues with PDP’s Atiku Abubakar – rather, it was the process that brought him up and the ensuing structural imbalance in the party that caused them to withdraw support for his campaign.
Governor Simon Lalong’s claim that the G-5 is backing Tinubu is a “daydream”, said Garuba.
The statement added that it was almost comical how Lalong was trying to malign Jang and scrape up any favor for his own preferred candidate and APC.
Lalong’s lack of meaningful accomplishments during his term as governor should be more cause for shame than praise, according to Jang.
Furthermore, despite attempts to appear on pleasant terms with former governor Joshua Dariye, there is no evidence of tacit approval from him toward APC candidates.
