World Cup: Croatia Subdues Argentina

LAGOS JUNE 22ND (NEWSRANGERS)-Croatia on Thursday defeated highly rated Argentina 3-0 in a Group D match at the ongoing World Cup in Russia.
Croatia had in the first group match defeated Nigeria 2-0.
Goals by Croatia in the match against Argentina were scored by Rebic, Modric and Raktic.
The win by Croatia leaves the Super Eagles a better qualification chance as they meet Iceland on Friday.
Iceland had before now held Argentina to a 1-1 draw.
This leaves Croatia at the top of the group with six points, while Iceland and Argentina have one point each and Nigeria none.
