LAGOS APRIL 20TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The Nigeria Police Zone 13 headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra State, on Monday evening broke its silence on the early morning invasion of the facility by unknown gunmen.

It disclosed that two police operatives sustained gunshot injuries while repelling the attack and that one of the suspects was shot dead.

Confirming the attack in a statement, the Public Relations Officer of Zone 13, Nkiru Nwode, said the injured officers are presently receiving treatment.

She said the attackers came in their numbers, shooting sporadically in order to gain access to the facility but were repelled by Police personnel on duty.
