LAGOS OCTOBER 3RD (NEWSRANGERS)-In a truly gut-wrenching twist of fate, a pregnant woman and innocent children tragically lost their lives in a car crash that could have been prevented if the guilty party had only spared a thought for their safety. This heart-rending incident, which unfolded in the Ago, Ikota neighborhood of Lagos, stirred up a tempestuous outrage among the community, with blame falling squarely on the shoulders of the LASTMA official.

A somber Tuesday in Ago, Okota, Lagos witnessed a heart-wrenching tragedy unfold, like a storm descending upon the area.

A vehicle, pursued by a relentless Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official, collided with a tricycle, claiming the lives of a pregnant woman and her two innocent children.

Eyewitnesses alleged that the drama began when a LASTMA official at Okota Roundabout attempted to take over the steering of a Toyota Sienna vehicle from the driver while in motion. This desperate maneuver was allegedly prompted by the driver’s prior violation of traffic regulations.

In the ensuing chaos, the vehicle reportedly lost control and rammed into a tricycle on Bayo Oyewale Street. Tragically, the pregnant woman was accompanying her children to school when destiny dealt its cruel hand.

This heart-wrenching incident ignited a fiery protest, as an enraged mob descended upon the ill-fated LASTMA official like a pack of wolves closing in on their prey.

However, just in the nick of time, a team of gallant policemen arrived on the scene, saving the official from a fate almost as dire as a public lynching. With tear gas canisters, they, according to reports, dispersed the furious crowd, quelling the tempestuous anger that had swept over them.

With swift action, the police also dismantled the roadblock erected by the protesters and swiftly whisked the embattled LASTMA official away from the maelstrom.

Videos capturing the harrowing scene of bystanders gathering around the crashed vehicle, bravely attempting to rescue the victims, circulated widely.
