AFCON: Aliou Cisse Admitted to Hospital After Senegal Victory
LAGOS JANUARY 21ST (NEWSRANGERS)-Following Senegal’s 3-1 victory over Cameroon to advance to the round of 16 in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Aliou Cisse, the current coach and manager of the national team, was admitted to the hospital.
The Senegal Football Federation announced on Saturday that Aliou Cisse received medical treatment for a benign infectious condition and spent the night at the Yamusukro hospital for observation.
“The tests came back positive, and he’s back with the team,” the federation stated regarding the coach’s health. The team’s spokesperson, Kara Thioune, mentioned that he’ll be fine and will be able to continue with the team for the remaining AFCON 2023 matches, including the last group stage match against Guinea.
