Vigilante Arrest A Lady Over Alleged Attempt To Sell Her Newly Born Baby
LAGOS MAY 5TH (NEWSRANGERS)-A 31 years old woman was napped by a group of vigilante while she was trying to sell her newly born baby to a man in a community in Ikere, Ekiti State before she was handed over to the police
One of the vigilante who is an eyewitness, Abass Kasali he said “We are in our normal spot where we normal watch over the community. I then ask two of my people to join me for a small patrol. That was how we caught them where they are exchanging baby for money
“As we are about to approach them, the man manage to escaped but the woman was arrested. We warned ourselves against jungle justices so we handed her over to the police.”
The suspect Gbemisola Ogunjobi later confessed to the crime saying, ” it was because I don’t want the baby any more. I don’t have money that I will use to take care of the baby. So I decided to sell her to people who needs her and collect money to use to start up something for myself.
The police in charged of the case said necessary investigation will be carried out in order to arrest everyone involved.
