Train Attack: Bandits Contact Passenger’s Family, Confirm Abduction Of Missing Persons
LAGOS MARCH 20TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Terrorists who attacked the Abuja-Kaduna train service AK9 at Dutse village on Monday night, killing eight persons, have phoned one of the families of the missing passengers
The bandits told the family that their daughter and other passengers were with them in their camps.
Speaking with LEADERSHIP, a source, who is close to the family, said the bandits called on Tuesday night but did not request for ransom.
“They called Tuesday night and told us our sister together with other missing passengers are with them in their camps and she is safe. They didn’t talk more than that.
“We are praying to God for intervention and her safety. We are pleading with the kidnappers to release her for us,” He said.
LEADERSHIP reports that bandits had attacked Abuja-Kaduna train with over 300 passengers on board Monday night at the Dutse village in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo and Governor Nasir El-Rufai, visited some of the victims receiving treatment at different hospitals in Kaduna.
The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General, Faruk Yahaya, and top officials of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), among others, on Tuesday, visited the scene of the terrorist attack.
