‘They Used To Sleep On The Floor At LP Office Abuja But Today They Sleep In Sheraton’
LAGOS MAY 19TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Prince Kennedy Ahanotu, the Labour Party’s national youth leader, has said that the Apapa-led faction’s former members slept on the floor of the party’s Abuja office, but that they now stay in some of the city’s most opulent hotels.
This information was revealed by Ahanotu in response to the uproar at the presidential election tribunal, where supporters of Apapa and Julius Abure butted heads.
When asked if the party’s internal dispute will be settled soon, they said, “Not any time soon.”
Well, the conflict has been settled, Ahanotu added. We know who their backers are, but that doesn’t stop them from thinking they can bypass the law. They have a lot of cash on them and are flying with it.
“People I know well who routinely spend their nights on the floor of our party headquarters in Abuja are about to leave the building; keep an eye on the vehicle they’re leaving in. They’re staying in the Sheraton tonight, which has some of the nicest apartments in town. After living here for 23 years, I can tell you how much it costs to stay at the Transcorp, the Sheraton, the Fraizer Suites, and what it takes to fly a private jet.
“Being modest is key, as many Nigerians will want to emulate their success. Following today’s events in court, Nigerians will be keeping tabs on the defendants; we intend to do the same.
“They are no longer party members as a result of action taken by the NEC in Asaba. They can choose to accept it or to be bought indefinitely.”
