Sanwo-Olu, Amaechi, Bala Usman To Storm MAJAN Maritime Summit On Apapa Gridlock
LAGOS MARCH 25TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, Hadiza Bala Usman and Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa are among the personalities expected at Maritime Association of Nigeria (MAJAN) summits.
A statement signed by President of MAJAN, Comrade Ray Ugochukwu and Editor of Power Pen, Sylvanus Ekpo made available to NewsRangers disclosed that Former Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa is expected to present the lead paper titled, “The Travails of Manufacturers Through Apapa Port” at the Maritime Summit slated for April 14-15, 2021 at the Rockview Hotel, Apapa.
The statement explained that the Summit which was earlier slated for March 25-26 had been rescheduled to hold on April 14-15, 2021, due to unforseen circumstances beyong their control..
“Industry experts expected at the event include the Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration & Safety Agency, Dr. Bashir Jamoh, Director General, Standards Organization of Nigeria, Mallam Farouk A. Salim, the Managing Director of LADOL, Dr. Amy Jadesimi, the Managing Director NIWA, Dr. George Moghalu and the President General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, Adewale Adeyanju among others,” the statement explained, adding that the Summit is expected to kick-off at 10 am prompt daily.
