Rep Member, Lagos Lawmakers, Monarchs Expected At CONMMEP One-Day Workshop
LAGOS DECEMBER 15TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners- CONMMEP has confirmed that its workshop programme slated for Tuesday the 17th of December, 2024 would hold as planned.
Press statement signed by CONMMEP Publicity Secretary McAnthony Udochukwu Onuoha said the one-day workshop programme with theme; “Port Community Engagement: Building Partnerships for Sustainable Development” which will hold on Tuesday the 17th of December, 2024 at Rockview Hotel and Suites, Apapa, Lagos is expected to have in attendance, Honourable Saad Lukumon Olumo, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Constituency 1, Ajeromi Ifelodun; Honourable Sabur Akanbi Oluwa, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Constituency 2, Ajeromi Ifelodun; Honourable Fatai Adekunle Ayoola, Chairman, Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA; Yemi Idowu, CEO, Air Com Nigeria Limited, and Honourable Dr. Paul Kalejaye, Member, House of Representatives.
The workshop according to the statement is aimed at providing a platform for Maritime stakeholders, Port Communities, agencies of government and corporate establishments within the maritime sector to review Port community engagement and chart a new course for development and more gainful partnerships
“Again, the workshop aims to promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and showcase people oriented projects and services benefitting port Communities. It also seeks to address challenges resulting from neglecting the host Communities.
The programme which holds at Rockview Hotel Apapa on the 17th of December, 2024 is expected to feature very revered personalities, among who are the Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency, Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, as Chief Guest of Honour, while the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale, Bashir Adeniyi, MFR, is Special Guest of Honour. Royal Fathers of the Day are Ojora of Ijora Kingdom, HRM, Oba Abdul Fatai Aremu Aromire and the Olu of Iwa and Apapa Kingdom, HRM and Oba Moroof Oyekunle Atanda Amodu Tijani Oluwa among others.
“CONMMEP wants to use this medium to reassure stakeholders of its readiness and commitment to this august event, and is optimistic of its huge success. CONMMEP will be glad to welcome relevant stakeholders and all invitees to the occasion,” the statement read.
