LAGOS SEPTEMBER 19TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Anthony Taylor will not referee a Premier League game this weekend after receiving abuse on social media following Chelsea’s 1-0 win at Bournemouth.

Taylor showed a Premier League record 14 yellow cards to players at Vitality Stadium.

The Premier League has launched an investigation following online abuse directed at the official in the aftermath.

Taylor will act as fourth official this weekend when Southampton host Ipswich on Saturday and Nottingham Forest travel to Brighton on Sunday.

Bournemouth were shown six bookings with Chelsea receiving eight in the hard-fought encounter on the south coast.

The previous record of 12 came in 2016 when Chelsea hosted Tottenham and in 2010 at Molineux for Wolves v Newcastle.
