Police Nab Suspected Syndicate Behind Manipulation Of BVAS Of Presidential Elections
LAGOS FEBRUARY 28TH (NEWSRANGERS)- The police command in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday, arrested a number of suspects who are believed to be involved in the manipulation of the Bimordial Voters Accreditation System (BVAS).
According to reports, the police swooped on a residential building at No. 15, Ganges Street, Maitama, Abuja to raid the house.
A tip-off from unidentified sources claimed that the location was being used as a base to manipulate last Saturday’s elections.
The videos making the rounds captured the moment the police recovered numerous BVAS machines and several laptops and desktop computers, as well as other technology materials.
Arise TV reports that the suspects have been taken into police custody and are investigating the illegal possession and suspected manipulation of the BVAS.
It was also reported that one of the suspects arrested is said to be the Vice President of a company known as Emperor technology. The Suspects are also helping the police with its investigation.
