Panic As Man Dies While Driving In Lagos Traffic

LAGOS MAY 16TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Panic gripped motorists along the Ketu expressway in Lagos after a driver suddenly stopped his car and was later discovered to have died behind the wheel in traffic.

The tragedy unfolded in Ketu, Lagos, when the yet to be identified man reportedly died suddenly while driving in traffic.

The incident occurred on a busy expressway, leaving motorists and passersby in shock.

According to a female road user who recorded part of the incident, she was driving directly behind and beside the man’s car when he abruptly came to a stop in the middle of traffic. In her narration captured on video, she expressed confusion at first, wondering why the man had suddenly parked.

“I saw him stop, and I was wondering what was going on,” she said. As cars slowed down and drivers around the scene began to observe closely, it became clear something was wrong.

The woman said she overheard people murmuring that the man might have slumped. In the video, she is seen asking a man who was redirecting traffic away from the stationary vehicle. “Has he really passed away?” she asked. The man responded somberly, confirming the driver was no longer alive.

As the news spread, more people gathered around the scene. Officials and concerned citizens worked to manage the flow of traffic, diverting vehicles to another lane while awaiting emergency responders.

The man’s identity had not been made public at the time of reporting, but the suddenness of his death in such a public setting has triggered a wave of concern and reflection, both offline and across social media platforms.
