LAGOS DECEMBER 26TH (NEWSRANGERS)-In a commendable act of generosity, Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has distributed hundreds of tricycles, otherwise known as Keke NAPEP, bags of rice, cartons of noodles and other food items to youths, residents and indigenes of Olusosun area of Lagos State, where he grew up, and refers to as his “hood”.
At a ceremony that culminated in a football tournament with a trophy to be won, Osimhen explained the reason for the gesture to his “hood”.
The Napoli man, who has been making goal-scoring exploits on loan at Galatasaray, said it was his way of giving back to the community that supported him.
He said: “The food items should be distributed to our mothers, while the Keke should be distributed to my fellow youths.
“It’s my own little way to say thank you for the youths of Olusosun.”
The 25-year-old Nigerian forward added that the distribution was aimed at providing both transportation opportunities for young people and much-needed support for families during the holiday season.
Osimhen’s thoughtful act has been met with praise from fans and members of the Olusosun community, with many expressing gratitude for his kindness.
