Mbappe’s Mother  Threatens  Legal Action Against PSG Over Unpaid Dues

LAGOS JULY 19TH (NEWSRNAGERS)-Fayza Lamari, not just a mother but a key figure in Kylian Mbappe’s life, recently spoke out in an interview with Le Parisien, just a day after her son’s grand unveiling as a new player for Real Madrid.

Unlike the forward, who stayed mum on his departure from PSG during his press conference, Lamari openly discussed the striker’s split from the Parisian club. She emphasised ongoing negotiations aimed at resolving contractual issues.

She raised concerns over Paris Saint-Germain’s failure to meet financial obligations outlined in his recent contract renewal, signed two summers ago.

Specifically, Lamari pointedly mentioned the delayed payment of the final installment of a substantial €180 million renewal bonus. She even hinted at potential legal action if PSG does not promptly fulfil these commitments.

“If we have no other option, we will go to court,” she was quoted by SPORT.

“I hope that the contract we signed two years ago will be respected. Nobody, in reality, can say what happened, neither me nor the representatives of PSG, because for two years Kylian and the president have always seen each other alone, except for one time.

“And all of that has not prevented Kylian from playing since the announcement in February,” she added.

A bad breakup

In her interview, Lamari not only underscored the importance of honouring agreements made but also compared the player’s exit from PSG with a bad breakup.

She stressed the financial aspect as crucial to maintaining trust and fairness in professional relationships. This development comes amid a backdrop of Mbappe’s high-profile move to Madrid, marking a significant transition in his career.

“What happened with PSG is comparable to a breakup. When we break up, we only think about the negative, but our role is not to look back but to give Kylian time so that he only remembers the positive side of this last year in Paris.

“Today Kylian is at Madrid and we have to thank not only Monaco but also PSG for that. PSG was the one who trusted him at 18 years old, paying that amount of money… I think Kylian repaid them well,” she explained.

She added that at the moment, the parties involved are trying to figure out the middle ground.

“Everything is in the hands of Kylian’s representatives, but I trust PSG and that everything will return to normal quickly. We have just received a letter in response and decisions will be made.

“Sometimes, during separations, you have to decide who takes the TV, the furniture, the car… That’s what we’re working on. I hope that all this doesn’t tarnish everything we’ve experienced, that we don’t dwell on that.”
