Man United   Plots To Reignite Wilfred Ndidi Move For Replacement Of  Casemiro

LAGOS MARCH 20TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Manchester United are preparing to reignite their pursuit of Wilfred Ndidi this summer, with a potential player-plus-cash deal involving Altay Bayındır gaining traction.

With Casemiro expected to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, United are targeting a defensive midfielder and have identified Ndidi as a suitable replacement.

The Super Eagles captain, who joined Beşiktaş J.K. from Leicester City for €8 million, has quickly become a key figure in midfield.

His impressive performances in the Turkish Süper Lig attracted interest from United during the January transfer window, but Beşiktaş blocked a mid-season move.

United were in talks for the 29-year-old Nigerian midfielder earlier this year, but the Istanbul club opted to retain him due to concerns over squad stability.

Former United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær, who has worked with Ndidi, is understood to have advised the club’s director of football, Jason Wilcox, to pursue the midfielder.

While INEOS were initially hesitant to proceed in January, the club is now reconsidering the move as part of plans to ensure continuity in the defensive midfield role. Beşiktaş are also open to negotiations as they seek to strengthen its goalkeeping options under manager Sergen Yalçın.

Although the Turkish side previously resisted selling Ndidi, they are now willing to reconsider a deal this summer if the financial terms are favourable.

A return to the Premier League would mark a significant step for Ndidi, bringing him back into the global spotlight after a brief but impactful stint in Turkey.
