Exposed: G-5 Govs Donate N100bn To BAT Campaign As Tinubu Promises The Group Mouth Watering Offers

LAGOS JANUARY 9TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Rivers state governor and other members of the G5 governors will this week make public their support for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s aspiration.

At a meeting held in London a fortnight ago, the leader of the G5, Wike according to a source who attended the meeting said that though the group was divided between Tinubu and the Labour Party Candidate, Peter Obi, however Governor Wike had insisted on the support for Atiku.

According to a Pointblanknews.com source, mouth watering offers were tabled before the governors who also include the Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom, Enugu state governor, Ifeanyi Igwuanyi, Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu and Oyo state governor Seyi Makinde.

“Wike was promised the Petroleum minister, no prosection for all monies looted from Rivers state as well as offer to nominate the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC chairman.”

Wike, according to the source has also made a donation of 100 billion naira on his behalf and for the other governors.

“Part of the agreement is for the support of the Oyo state governor, Makinde for his second term ambition. The deal is for the APC to collapse its structure in Oyo state for the emergence of the PDP candidate. The APC candidate in the state is tipped for a ministerial appointment.

“The governors of Benue, Enugu and Abia are also to receive immunity from the APC government from prosecution as well as offers to nominate key political appointments.”

The source confirmed that the G5 governors will not leave their parties but will remain in PDP and will join the campaign train of the Tinubu particularly in the campaigns holding in their states and zones.

If everything goes as planned, the governors will announce their choice within this week.

Pointblanknews.com reports that there has been a running battle between the G5 governors and the leadership of the PDP on the insistence of the party’s National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu to  remain in office after the emergence of Atiku Abubarkar as the presidential candidate. The governors have given an ultimatum for the resignation of Ayu before they will participate in the activities of the party.
