
LAGOS JUNE 9TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Members of Congress Of Nigeria Maritime Media Practitioners (CONMMEP) on Saturday Celebrated Sallah with the Olu of Iwa and Apapa kingdom in Lagos state, Oba Oyekunle Moroof Atanda Amodu Tijani Oluwa.
The colorful event which was held at the Monarch temporary palace located at Tolu, Olodi in Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government area of Lagos was attended by dignitaries from other parts of Lagos who are friends and relatives to the monarch. The joyful event was a testament to the Oba’s commitment to community and religious heritage.
The afternoon gathering was marked with merriment, enlightening discourse and the exchange of valuable ideas. The Kabiyesi’s celebration of Sallah was characterized by regal simplicity, reflecting his dedication to the values of Islam.
The Oluwa of Iwa and Apapa kingdom’s annual celebration has become a significant event, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to share in the joy and spirit of the Ileya festival.
As a respected leader, the event highlighted the Kabiyesi’s commitment to fostering community unity, peace and promotion of cultural understanding embedded in teachings of the Almighty Allah in an inclusive atmosphere of friendship in his palace.
Despite the scores of important visitors, the Monarch in his usual friendly manner took time to seat and discuss with members of CONMMEP on issues relating to ports activities as it affects ports community of Apapa Wharf and Tincan Island Ports.
