Commissioner Donates School Uniforms, Books To Empower Pupils In Cross River State

LAGOS FEBRUARY 19TH (NEWSRANGERS)-As a gesture of love and in celebration of Valentine’s day, the Commissioner of the Cross River State Forestry Commission, Mr. Oyo Emmanuel Idem, has demonstrated his commitment to giving back to society by donating school uniforms and books to pupils in Ironbar Memorial Primary School in Calabar. Cross River State. 

He said the initiative is not only about showing love, but also about providing support and promoting education within his community, by providing needed items for the children to thrive academically and reach their full potentials.

Expressing delight about the event, Mr. Oyo shared his inspiration behind the thoughtful initiative, “I am very happy about this event. I came up with the idea of providing these tokens of uniforms and books to support and promote education within my immediate Community. The goal is to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals, particularly the younger generation.

“Let me use this opportunity to urge the pupils to take their studies seriously as education serves as the bedrock of societal development. By doing so, they can make valuable contributions to society in the future”.

Commending the efforts of Mr. Oyo Idem, Rt. Hon. George O’ben-Etchi, the Chairman/CEO of Cross River State Forestry Commission, emphasized the importance of giving back to society. He expressed excitement that one of their esteemed colleagues had chosen the path of service.

“I am excited that one of our own colleagues has chosen the way of the Lord. The reason we are given responsibilities is not for ourselves alone, but so that we can be a blessing to others. I thank my brother for this initiative. Providing support to children is something that will leave an indelible mark in the hearts of children and their parents. You have challenged many of us, set the pace, and undoubtedly inspired other members of this Commission to also give back to our immediate communities. I have no doubt that God will bless and prosper you,” he prayed.

The event was attended by members of the Cross River State Forestry Commission, distinguished government functionaries, and the general public. It served as a powerful reminder of the significance of giving back to the society and the positive impact it can have in creating a brighter and more prosperous society for all.
