Buhari’s Decision To Ease Lockdown Is Premature- Nigerian Doctors
LAGOS MAY 3RD (NEWSRANGERS)-The Nigerian Medical Association has asked the federal government to learn from Ghana whose coronavirus cases hiked by 100% in just a week after the leadership eased lockdown in the country.
The NMA President, Francis Faduyile, said this in a statement warning that the timing of FG’s decision to ease lockdown was not right because the nation was still battling to manage the daily rise in cases.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari in a state broadcast on Monday, had announced gradual easing of lockdown in Lagos, Ogun, and the Federal Capital Territory effective May 4,
The statement read: “As the incidence of the COVID-19 hits the 2000th mark by this weekend, just seven days after hitting the 1000th mark, it figuratively tilts the epidemiological curve towards an upward spike.
