LAGOS JUNE 7TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Suspected Area Boy allegedly stabbed a female trader and POS operator at Ifo market in Ogun state to death for refusing to give him money for sallah celebration.
NewsRangers learnt that the area boy (name withheld) approached the lady at her shop located in front of the market, opposite Vantage Pharmacy and Tecno building at Ifo, Ogun state and demanded for money for Sallah celebration.
According to an eyewitness, “the trader and the area boy are from Igbo. The suspect left the woman and later returned with knife which he allegedly use to stabbed the trader to death for having the audacity to ask him to come back for Sallah money. “
Some of the traders who spoke off records to our correspondent said it is either the area boy was on drugs, smoke Igbo or drunk. Another version had it that the area boy may be having mental challenges.
Police from Ifo station who arrived at the scene took away the battered area boy to their station.
