Angry Youths Set Man Ablaze For Killing Seven Family Members, Two Others
LAGOS DECEMBER 12TH (NEWSRANGERS)-A man alleged to be mentally unstable was burnt to death by members of his community after he killed 9 people, 7 of whom are family members.
The man identified as Chigozie Orusa was burnt to death after he killed 9 people in Nempi, Oru west local government area Imo state.
According to reports, Chigozie was a trader in Onitsha but he suddenly developed a mental illness. His friends in Onitsha took him to his family compound in Nempi where he has been under the care of his family.
Unfortunately, Chigozie’s mental illness worsened. In the early hours of December 8th 2019, Chigozie macheted 9 people to death. Out of the 9 people he killed, 7 were his family members. They are his grandfather, 3rd wife of his grandfather and five of his cousins. The other two victims were neighbors.
Reacting to the killings, angry youths in the community set Chigozie ablaze.
