COVID-19: FG Takes Delivery Of First Batch Of Medical Supplies

LAGOS APRIL 5TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The Federal government on Saturday night took delivery of its first batch of medical supplies in the fight against the spread of Coronavirus pandemic and for the treatment of those infected.

Air Peace aircraft, Boeing 777 with registration number, 5N-BWI carrying the supplies landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja from Istanbul, Turkey on Saturday night.

The flight was reported to have left Nigeria early Saturday for the seven hours flight to Turkey and was able to lift the supplies and returned to Nigeria before midnight.

This is the first batch of the supplies by the federal government and the airline is expected to embark on another flight to China tomorrow, Monday for another batch of medical supplies.

The Chief Operating Officer of Air Peace, Mrs. Toyin Olajide in a statement, said the Nigerian government was ahead of many countries in the fight against the virus.
