#EndSARS: Hoodlums Set Three Bank Buildings Ablaze In Lekki, Loot Shops

LAGOS OCTOBER 21ST (NEWSRANGERS)-Three new generational bank buildings have been set ablaze along the Admiralty Way in Lekki, Lagos.

The three banks have been identified as Polaris, GTB and Access Bank branches.

Business premises, shopping malls and shops have also been looted by suspected hoodlums in the area.

These incidents happened on Tuesday night following shootings by security agents at #EndSARS protesters demonstrating against police brutality at the Lekki tollgate area.

The #EndSARS protests rocking the country have continued for almost two weeks with youths calling for a lasting reform of the Nigeria Police Force.

What started as peaceful protests have, however, been hijacked by hoodlums who have wreaked havoc on citizens and vandalised public assets in Lagos, Benin, Abuja, Ekiti, Jos, Ibadan, Akure, amongst other major cities.

No fewer than three police stations were set ablaze in Lagos on Tuesday.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state to curb the growing violence in the state.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had also deployed anti-riot police officers nationwide to bring criminals to book.
